Mark Steiner (Talent Maestro) cut his teeth as an actor
(ouch) in the movie industry in New York City in the 80s-90s,
and now has made it his business to bring talented people into the limelight.
A father of two of the greatest kids on the planet, Mark is married to a world-class violinist who serenades him daily, whether he likes it or not. President of Steiner Talent, Inc, Mark co-founded Gig Salad with Steve as the result of a many-year friendship
and an obvious combining of their skillsets and passions. Mark oversees Talent Salad's corporate headquarters in Springfield, MO where he can often be spotted dodging funnel clouds. And funnel cakes.
Steve Tetrault (Brand Maestro) is a wanna-be rock star who has recently decided to become guitarist and pianist. His talents, however, shine more prominently in the graphic design and web development arenas. President of Tetrault Design Associates, Inc, Steve founded Gig Salad with Mark in 2004 and spends his time obsessing over new and better ways to give talented people and bands exposure, work and new opportunities. Steve heads up the web development and support headquarters for Talent Salad in Wilmington, NC. He is happily married with 3 beautiful children, one of which is an aspiring Broadway diva soon to be entering teenhood. It stresses him out just reading that sentence.
Locke Bircher (The Man Behind the Curtain) is the smartest man in the world. Of course, he'd never admit to that but we know it's true. A Computer Science alumnus of University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW), Locke makes it all work. Ideas become realities, wishes become websites as he oversees the Talent Salad web development HQ in Wilmington. Obsessed with music, Locke can be heard singing in the shower or in his car, and sometimes in his car's shower, and has picked up a guitar once or twice. Literally.
Jarrod Freeman (Talent Wrangler) is a rock star in his mind whose talent booking prowess permeates the Midwest like the smell of fresh White Castle in a new Buick. He loves orchestrating events and making things happen, working with agents, event planners and talent to turn entertainment requests into successful gigs. It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Jarrod Freeman. He is a fancy dancer and equestrian showman.
John Steiner (Finance Maestro) keeps everyone at Talent Salad sane by orchestrating the financial end of things and is by far the wisest of the bunch. The responsibility of managing payments, contracts, payroll, and bills is enough for a small army. At Talent Salad, John is that army.
Allie Hutsell (Utility Infielder) has been entertaining audiences for as long as she can remember. A funk & soul songstress, percussionist and guitarist (see the evidence in her photo?), Allie is cooler than both Mark and Steve combined. She's a proud Mom of 2 kids and 1 dog, a husband and 5 crazy musicians. Always ready to serve, Allie does anything and everything around the Talent Salad HQ, from helping Mark covert from PC to MAC, to troubleshooting troubling things.
Murdock Moss (Tribute Artist Specialist) doesn't wear Gene Simmons makeup every day, but when he does, the cats scatter. Murdock is a recent Missouri State University graduate who earned his degree in Entertainment Management, and has been with Talent Salad as an intern for several months.
Marcy Kamler (Not Just One of the Folks) is a folk music enthusiast, and the proud mother of a Pomeranian puppy named Lucy. She played violin and viola in the Missouri State Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Missouri State Chamber Orchestra and in her spare time teaches at Palen Music Center. Did we also mention she's a Resident Assistant for the Missouri Fine Arts Academy? That's a lot of stuff all at once, Marcy. Mercy. In the fall, Marcy will be pursuing her Masters in Music Therapy at Drury University.
Joanna Metsker (Master of All Things Stringed) plays the violin, sings and wears barrettes in her hair. Some may call her odd, but we don't because that would be mean. Joanna is a first violinist in the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and is highly active in the Missouri State music department. Joanna was the winner of the 2007 Missouri State Concerto Competition and plans to graduate in the spring of 2009. Post graduation, she plans to continue her education pursuing a Masters in Music.
Kyle Margheim (Chief Cornhusker) is a swimmer extraordinaire who was born and raised in Mitchell, SD, home of the world's only Corn Palace. It was in South Dakota that he participated in many local and school music groups, as well as in theatre performances. An intern at Talent Salad, Kyle is currently getting ready to graduate from Missouri State University and move to New York City.
Arden (Smeller of Roses) is headed to Auburn, Alabama to study graphic design. When at Gig Salad, she wrote about music and credits her decision to major in graphic design to working at Talent Salad... yet another valuable team member we've chased away. Among her many talents, Arden is an avid rock climber. Not the musical genre, but the naturally occurring aggregate of minerals and mineraloids.
Kory Wilcox (Spinner of Plates), a former GigSalad intern, is a Nixa, MO native with an Entertainment Management degree from Missouri State University. An avid writer and musician, passionate truth-seeker, cavalier proofreader, and technological guru, Kory currently spends his time solving computer quandaries at the family business, as well as for his numerous freelance clients (like GigSalad!). When he's not at work, you can find Kory expanding his music ministry, traveling, playing Scrabble®, taking artsy photos, and wooing his fiancée.
Erin Steiner (Clasher of Titans) is currently a student at Geneva College in Pennsylvania majoring in Music Business. In between projects, papers and exams, she spends time reaching out to Gig Salad members and doing what needs doing as she learns the biz.
Jack (Chief Tail Chaser) is our resident pug in the Wilmington web development HQ. He serves as a constant reminder to take our dress code to the next level by biting our toes through our flipflops. When he's not drawing blood, he is making not-so-subtle references to Air Bud, Benji and Lassie, pondering his big break.
